Spurgeon on Longing to Be Useful for Christ

Take God into your counsel and you will be wise; enlist his power on your side and you will be strong. A heart full of love to Jesus will be blessed with an instinctive wisdom with which the cold-hearted cannot intermeddle. The man who pants to be useful and is a soul-gatherer by profession, will not need to be informed of opportunities, for he will never miss them.

Spurgeon, The Sword & The Trowel, February 1865.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, instill in us a passion in your wisdom and power to engage in the opportunities you provide. May we be thoroughly useful for your Kingdom commission.
